A New Year -
Time of Change
Five years with Greenwich Printmakers comes to an end...
I have taken the decision to leave Greenwich Printmakers Association (GPA) with effect from the end of December 2009.
GPA has over my early printmaking career offered unparalleled opportunities from which I know I have benefited significantly.
New beginnings with East London Printmakers (ELP)
In November I joined the ranks of ELP and look forward to sharing my experiences/events with you via this newsletter and my blog.

New section of my website
The Affordable Art Fair in Battersea presented the ideal opportunity to talk with many great people, and to understand what "art" and in particular my work meant to them.
One question that was asked a few times was (I am paraphrasing) "I know that the editions are limited and no two prints are the same given the way colour is applied - but how can I get something even more unique?"
I took this to mean "extremely limited..."
I will therefore be creating a special Collector's Corner on my website which in future will feature drawings, designs, paintings and experimental prints together with some of the editions available directly from the studio.
Hope that you will like it.

sincere thanks to Anne Dart from Newcastle, the winner of "The Artist's Block" competition
With over forty entries into the "Artist's Block Competition" and evocative suggestions ranging from "solitude", "heading south-west", "limbos" and "haven", the decision was obviously a difficult one.
However Ms Dart's suggestion of "freefall" for me captured the emotion of the image.
The original print will be despatched to the winner shortly, and "freefall" will be on show in the New Year. |
Ex Libris Bookplates
An unexpected conversation at the Battersea Art Fair triggered a further thought... What about something personalised for those collectors who treasure and trade Ex Libris bookplates?..
With a choice of images and each bookplate being personalised with the purchaser's (or a n other's name) the concept is a great one.
Each order is for 100 bespoke plates:
First three customers special offer:
£400 in 1 colour; £500 in 2 colours
